Dancing Through the Decades with DBS
Delta Beta Sigma’s annual convention is slowly approaching! Come join us for a few days of fun in NASHVILLE, TN from June 21-25! Convention is a time for elected officers and members to come together and learn about Delta Beta Sigma’s history and train for their upcoming year. Attendees have the opportunity to meet their chapter advisor, converse with the National Board, bond with other women from other chapters, and participate in empowering conversations.
Through various workshops, attendees have the ability to be trained on their upcoming new role taught by the National Board! One of my favorite aspects of Convention is getting the opportunity to meet new people and hear all about what their chapter does. It’s so interesting to hear how many chapters hold different events, and it’s neat when you can take those inspiring ideas and apply them to your chapter! I also love hearing how other chapters supported the respective year’s national philanthropy! This year’s philanthropy is The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and I’m eager to see how chapters raised money for this impactful philanthropy. Chapters are also recognized for their hard work this past year at the Banquet!
Prior to Convention, chapters prepare tirelessly for the friendly Musical Competition, and this year we’ll have the honor of seeing chapters express their talent through performing *and dancing* through the decades right in Music City!
Attendees also participate in various sisterhoods which are always much fun since they always leave knowing more about my sisters. With these new friendships, chapters also have a free day on the last day of convention where they can explore the city of Nashville! There is so much to do in Music City which houses the County Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, The Parthenon, and more! Nashville offers line dancing classes, concerts, flavorful food, and more.

7:30pm: Awards Banquet and Candlelight Ceremony
