2024 Convention Recap
Delta Beta Sigma’s 95th convention was a success to say the least! Held in the beautiful city of Nashville, TN, officers and members were trained on their respective positions and are ecstatic to take what they learned back to their hometown! This convention was also the first time we held an Alumni dinner where we highlighted alumni's recent accomplishments and discussed how DBS alumni have had a substantial impact on their local communities and more.
If you are a DBS alumna and are interested in attending next year’s Alumni dinner, feel free to reach out to nationaldeltabetasigma@gmail.com to receive updates on convention information or stay updated through our monthly blogs! Additionally, if you wish to apply for a Board Assistant position on the National Board of Regents, feel free to email us as well! As a Board Assistant, you have the opportunity to work on special projects like our website, alumni contacts, convention, DBS store, and anything DBS related!
Chapters are highlighted at convention for their accomplishments in the past year but so are members who have diligently worked hard to cultivate the utmost opportunities for their chapter. Hence, the National Board is pleased to announce the National Outstanding Member and the three Wanda Bedell Scholarship Winners!
First up is our 2024 National Outstanding Member who is Hannah Dory from the Kappa Rho Chapter! Hannah served as Vice President Member Education where she actively worked to ensure each new member felt welcomed and loved in this new environment. Along with DBS, Hannah also participated in various clubs at her school. She was a part of the Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, ACT 30’s Club, Writing Club, Golf Team, and more.
Our first $2000 Wanda Bedell scholarship winner is Madelyn Patton from the Beta Phi chapter! Madelyn gracefully served as Assistant Treasurer and President. She was also heavily involved in her school organizations like DECA, National Honor Society, Varsity Tennis, and Swim along with successfully completing the Blackman Collegiate Academy Program.
Our next $600 Wanda Bedell scholarship winner is Chloe King from the Phi Delta chapter! Chloe was also heavily involved in school clubs and organizations and will be attending the University of Central Arkansas this fall!
Last but not least our last $600 scholarship winner is Genevieve Crisp from the Lambda chapter! Genevieve served as Co-Historian Reporter and President!
